As a woman from a minority group, it's important to me to express my true self and identity, just as it likely is for you. When I first started my photography business, Joyce Choi Photography, I struggled to choose a brand name that truly represented who I am. While I deeply cherish my Korean name, it has been difficult for many Americans to pronounce correctly, and I often heard various mispronunciations during my college years. As a result, I opted to use my English name, which is easier to remember and pronounce. However, I'm now eager to incorporate my Korean heritage into my photography art.
That's why I decided to name my business Marey, a name that is the reverse spelling of my Korean name, Yeram. Our team specializes in creating Korean-style studio photography for your once-in-a-lifetime events, and we're excited to infuse your special moments with our unique artistic vision.
